Get outside. Do real conservation. Meet your people.

Our volunteers are the heart of Audubon Everglades, bringing passion, curiosity, and care to everything we do. They guide field trips, monitor Purple Martins, plant native habitat, teach kids about birds, and keep our programs running behind the scenes.

Whether you're into citizen science and environmental education, love working with people, enjoy hands-on work, or prefer helping behind the scenes, there's a place for you here. You don't need to be an expert birder. We'll teach you the rest, and you'll build skills and memories along the way.

How to get started

Fill out the volunteer form and tell us what you'd like to do. Someone from our team will reach out with next steps, upcoming training dates, and a chance to meet the program lead.

Most roles include training, and many pair new volunteers with someone experienced for the first few outings. Your hours count, too. We track them, and they help us show funders and partners the real impact of this community.

Under 18? A parent or guardian will need to give permission before you start.
