June-speaker

Join us on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 7:00 PM for our first virtual monthly meeting and lecture featuring guest speaker Dr. Laura Brandt, Regional Scientist, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service presenting:

“What do Alligators and Crocodiles Tell us About the Health of the Everglades”

Dr. Laura Brandt is the Lead Wildlife Biologist at Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge and has been studying the ecological role of alligators and other wetlands species in the Everglades region for almost 40 years. In her presentation Dr. Brandt will discuss how alligators and crocodiles are indicators of the environmental health of the Everglades and how these top predators help create a habitat for plants and wading birds.
