According to an article in last week’s Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, researchers have discovered five species (Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Orchard Oriole, Hooded Oriole, Yellow-breasted Chat, and Cassin’s Vireo) of migratory songbirds that breed once in the Western United States, then again in Mexico.
