Dear Members and Supporters,
Even though we operate exclusively through volunteers, it does take a steady input of $$$ for all our activities: Everglades Day, Scholarships, environmental projects and outreach, the renowned ASE Birding Research Library housed in the Palm Beach County Main Library, field trips, programs, monthly meetings, computer, printing and banking costs, including THE KITE. Environmental advocacy has the same business expenses as any other organization.
Yes, ASE, a chapter of National Audubon Society, does get a small first year new member incentive from the parent organization BUT that disappears after the first year. In fact, we have to raise the majority of $$$ needed for our monthly events, newsletters, correspondence, just like any other business organization. Consider that we also offer a choice and a chance to participate in highly rated field trips and programs, each month. ASE is here and functioning every month of each year.

Our officers are volunteers. However, board members and member volunteers may have some costs reimbursed for attending Florida Audubon and conservation training events, which directly benefits our chapter and Florida Audubon.

So, please consider a donation of Audubon Society of the Everglades — You won’t regret it!!!
Paton White, President
