Mar 18 film poster

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to you today with an interesting request. I work for the Lynn and Louis Wolfson II Florida Moving Image Archives at Miami Dade College. This week, March 17-19, we will be presenting the revival of our REW/FF Festival, 3 days of unique news film, vintage documentaries, epic features and Miami-crafted analog art films!

You may be wondering why I am writing you. One of the films we are screening is “Wind Across the Everglades” (1958) about a warden trying to enforce conservation laws and dealing with a fierce group of bird poachers. Filmed in the Everglades in the late 1950s it captures the wild, natural beauty on film. In an effort to make the screenings relevant on more than one level, we would like to help spread awareness of the Everglades and those who are working locally to educate and preserve, not only the Everglades but other important elements in our natural ecosystem. In light of this, we would first like to invite you to the free screening at 7pm on Friday, March 18th. Additionally, in our effort to connect the dots and between what we do and the work of others in the community we invite you to bring any promotional material you may have for upcoming programs or projects. If you cannot attend and would like to drop off some promotional material we would be happy to put it out on our table in the lobby of the auditorium. If interested let me know.

Thank you for your time.

All the best,
