BIRD COLLISIONS WITH WINDOWS – a Slinky Tip by Judy Munro
The Cornell Ornithology lab explains this phenomenon at www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAboutBirds/faq/attracting/challenges/window_collisions. ASE board member Judy & Bill Munro offer this tip that WON’T obstruct the view from your windows – hang a metal slinky toy outside the window pane (plastic slinky is not heavy enough to hang correctly). The ground breezes will move them just enough to keep birds safely away. Keep them up year round for total window collision protection!
