I hope no one minds a blatant plug for a movie I made, but as an ASE member, I am ready to take some liberties. “How Many Birds Do You Need?” is an hour long program split into six parts.  It was scheduled to go on TV, but the producer bumped it at the last minute.  I have had it online for a few years, but almost no one has seen it.  Time to throw timidity out the window.

The program starts with an introduction to what birding is, for novices.  This part you may find dull, but you will also see birders you know in it.  It is followed by short biographies of Alexander Wilson, Audubon, Elliott Coues, Louis Agassiz Fuertes, and Ludlow Griscom.

I have been sitting on this for years, and now it’s time to get off the pot.  If you would like to see it, check it out at Raven On The Mountain Vimeo Channel 2

I have posted short introductions to each section on my blog “Birds Unwrapped”.

Thanks for your indulgence, and if you watch, I hope you enjoy.
