Become A Member

Consistent with the policy adopted by the National Audubon Society in 2001, Audubon Society of the Everglades offers two membership options:

Chapter-only membership

With this type of membership, you join only your local chapter: Audubon Society of the Everglades.  The cost is $15 for new ASE chapter-only memberships and subsequent annual renewals. As a chapter-only member, your dues will support only local Audubon programs and activities. Chapter-only members receive all ten issues of the Everglade Kite, but do not receive Audubon magazine.

To become a chapter-only member of the Audubon Society of the Everglades, use the sign-up form on the back page of the Kite or send your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and a check made out to Audubon Society of the Everglades to:

National membership

Membership in the National Audubon Society also includes a membership in the Audubon Society of the Everglades, and Audubon of Florida. The cost is $20 for a one-year membership. With a national membership, you receive 6 issues of the award-winning Audubon magazine, quarterly issues of AoF’s Florida Naturalist, and 10 issues of the Everglade Kite.

The easiest way to sign up is to visit the secure NAS website and use your credit card. If you wish to receive the Kite, you will need to add ASE’s membership number, C9ZE000Z. Without that number, National will not sign you up as a member of ASE. If you don’t receive your first Kite within 2 months of signing up through National, please let us know, and we’ll investigate with them.
